Another exciting race weekend with Juncos Hollinger Racing and Romain Grosjean has come to a close! We co-hosted the IndyCar race at Laguna Seca road course with our pals at Pax8, our logos alongside each other on Grosjean’s No. 77 car. Clearly this teamwork paid off, with Romain finishing the race in his team-best position!
Per usual, we kicked the weekend off in the Juncos Hollinger Racing Hospitality Suite for a VIP meet and greet with Romain Grosjean. Face time with Romain is always a blast, and this weekend proved no different! The energy was palpable and our guests couldn’t help but feel the buzz of it all.
The Laguna Seca road course is one of the trickiest courses in the season with high-speed corners and uneven pavement. The Juncos Hollinger Racing team knew exactly how to prepare. In an exclusive garage tour, DNSFilter, Pax8, and our guests were allowed the opportunity to witness some of this intense preparation—and even got to hold some of the equipment. We left with great anticipation, and appreciation, for the race!
Then came the big event—it was time to see Romain Grosjean in action on the track! Everyone was already amped because Romain secured his best start for the season, kicking the race off in 8th position. The track proved every bit as tricky as anticipated, with multiple drivers veering off the track. The Juncos Hollinger Racing team followed their three-stop strategy, and Romain held onto 2nd position until his second pit stop. With multiple yellow flags late in the race, Romain still managed to work his way back into 4th place and earn the team-best finish.
After the race, Ricardo Juncos said, “...Romain Grosjean did an outstanding job and you can see at the end of the day on the last few laps when he has a podium right there, he was thinking for the team, he was thinking for the points. I mean, he did an outstanding job and [there’s] nothing [else] to say…”
And Romain himself had this to say: “What a good race. I think we knew we had a fast race car, but it was a tough race and we saw a few people going off [track] a few times. I went off myself a few times. It was very physical, very hard, but I think we did an amazing job with Chevy and the whole team all weekend. I am very proud of everyone…”
Here is a great thank you from one of our guests: "Thank you Ken and the DNSFilter team for an incredible experience. Your team did an amazing job all weekend and it was a world class experience. One of our team members asked how my weekend was and about 25 minutes later I had covered about 10% of things."
Something to take from the race at Laguna Seca road course this past weekend: Sometimes the trickiest of conditions and the highest of pressure can lead to the best of outcomes. Perseverance and determination, combined with the confidence of a solid crew behind you, are often all you need.
